This project focused on the restoration and protection of a wooden deck located at the back of the house, which had suffered significant wear and tear over time. The deck, standing 14 feet above ground level, had become covered in algae and mold, making it not only unsightly but also vulnerable to further damage.

Key Steps:

  • Thorough Cleaning: The project began with a comprehensive pressure washing to remove all traces of algae and mold. This step was crucial in preparing the deck for staining and ensuring the longevity of the wood.
  • Stain Application: After cleaning, the deck was treated with Wood Defender 200 Series stain, known for its durability and protection against the elements. The stain was meticulously applied to the deck surface, as well as the railings and stairs, to provide a consistent and long-lasting finish.
  • Final Touches: Once the staining was completed, the deck was left with a refreshed appearance, showcasing the natural beauty of the wood while being fully protected from future wear and environmental factors.
